In his canvas salt and dust, the hand grand natural pigments and salt dedicate to the beauty of fragility of pure icy head of the high snow mountains. The artist coated the canvas with more than 39 layers of pure mineral pigments and paints.

Comte has also spoken about how the red pigment in these works is an indication of the polluted and highly toxic red rain that falls in many places of the world, the water having turned red from chemicals, which have leached into it.
