Hand crafted Murano glass, granite dust
"Untitled (Murano Glass Mountain)" is a sculpture resembling an unidentified mountain created in Murano, Italy. The artist crafted the shape in stone, from which a mold was made to pour glass. Pigments, stone minerals, and dust collected in the mountain are mixed into the glass. This work serves as a manifestation from the Light series. Glass, as a material, is natural, symbolizing the environment. Molding it into a human-intervened shape reflects human activity. The artwork suggests viewers contemplate our activities and their effect on our environment, which changes its appearance with the interaction of light shed onto the sculpture.
